Consultant Physician – Paediatric Rehabilitation
On behalf of our **government healthcare client** in **Al Ain, UAE**, we are currently seeking a highly experienced **Consultant Physician – Paediatric Rehabilitation** to join a specialized multidisciplinary team focused on improving the functional independence, mobility, and quality of life of children with physical, developmental, and neurological challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated specialist with expertise in **paediatric rehabilitation medicine**, **neurodevelopmental disorders**, and **functional recovery programs** to contribute to a leading tertiary healthcare facility.
Key Skills
- Strong expertise in **Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine** and **Functional Recovery Programs**
- Experience in managing children with **Cerebral Palsy**, **Neuromuscular Disorders**, **Spinal Cord Injuries**, and **Developmental Disabilities**
- Advanced knowledge in **Physical Medicine**, **Mobility Assessment**, and **Assistive Technology**
- Proficiency in developing **Individualized Rehabilitation Plans**
- Expertise in **Multidisciplinary Care Coordination**
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children requiring **rehabilitation and long-term functional support**
- Develop personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life
- Work closely with **Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Neurologists, and Orthopaedic Specialists**
- Monitor patient progress and adjust rehabilitation strategies as needed
- Manage cases involving **developmental delays**, **brain injuries**, **musculoskeletal conditions**, and **complex disabilities**
- Provide family education and counseling regarding rehabilitation goals and long-term care
- Participate in **clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary case reviews**
- Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to education and training programs
- Ensure adherence to **clinical governance**, **patient safety**, and hospital quality standards
Qualifications
- **MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree**
- **Specialization in Paediatrics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or equivalent**
- **Fellowship / Board Certification / CCT in Paediatric Rehabilitation or related subspecialty**
- Proven **Consultant-level experience in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine**
- **DOH License / Eligibility** or equivalent UAE licensing is an advantage
- Experience in **tertiary care, rehabilitation centers, or specialized paediatric healthcare facilities**
