Specialist Physician – Anaesthesia (Female \| OBGYN Experience)

A reputable **government healthcare client** in the **Abu Dhabi Region** is seeking a highly skilled **Female Specialist Physician – Anaesthesia** with strong **Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBGYN) experience** to join its dynamic surgical and maternity services team.

This role is ideal for a specialist experienced in **obstetric anaesthesia**, **labour analgesia**, and **perioperative care for women’s health and maternity cases**.

Key Skills

  • Strong expertise in **Anaesthesia with OBGYN / Obstetric Anaesthesia experience**
  • Proficiency in **Labour Analgesia (Epidural & Spinal Anaesthesia)**
  • Experience in managing **High-Risk Obstetric Cases** and emergency obstetric procedures
  • Strong knowledge of **Airway Management**, **Regional Anaesthesia**, and **Perioperative Care**
  • Ability to handle **Caesarean Section Anaesthesia** and complex maternity cases
  • Competence in **Critical Care Support** and emergency response in obstetric settings

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective **anaesthesia care for obstetric and gynaecological procedures**
  • Manage **labour analgesia services**, including epidural and spinal techniques
  • Support anaesthesia management for **elective and emergency C-sections**
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments for OBGYN surgical patients
  • Monitor and manage patients during **intraoperative and postoperative phases**
  • Collaborate closely with **OBGYN Consultants, Midwives, Neonatologists, and Surgical Teams**
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies requiring anaesthesia support
  • Ensure compliance with **patient safety protocols, clinical governance, and hospital standards**
  • Participate in **clinical audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives**

Qualifications

  • **MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree**
  • **Specialization in Anaesthesiology**
  • Experience or fellowship in **Obstetric Anaesthesia / OBGYN Anaesthesia preferred**
  • Proven **Specialist-level experience in Anaesthesia**
  • **DOH License / Eligibility** or equivalent UAE licensing is an advantage
  • Experience in **tertiary hospitals or maternity-focused healthcare facilities** is preferred
