Consultant Physician – Paediatric Anaesthesia
A renowned **government healthcare client** in **Al Ain, UAE** is expanding its specialized surgical and perioperative services and is currently seeking an experienced **Consultant Physician – Paediatric Anaesthesia**.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled specialist with extensive expertise in **paediatric perioperative care**, **complex anaesthesia management**, and **critical airway management** for neonates, infants, and children in a tertiary care setting.
Key Skills
- Strong expertise in **Paediatric Anaesthesia** and **Perioperative Medicine**
- Advanced experience in **Neonatal Anaesthesia**, **Paediatric Sedation**, and **Airway Management**
- Proficiency in managing **high-risk surgical cases** and emergency anaesthesia
- Expertise in **Pain Management**, **Regional Anaesthesia**, and **Postoperative Care**
- Strong knowledge of **Paediatric Critical Care Support** and resuscitation
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and high-pressure surgical environments
Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective **anaesthesia care** for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Conduct thorough **pre-operative assessments** and formulate individualized anaesthesia plans
- Manage **intraoperative monitoring**, airway stabilization, and emergency interventions
- Oversee **post-anaesthesia recovery** and pain management strategies
- Collaborate closely with **Paediatric Surgeons, Neonatologists, Intensivists, and Nursing Teams**
- Handle complex and high-risk paediatric cases requiring specialized anaesthesia expertise
- Ensure compliance with **patient safety protocols**, **clinical governance**, and quality standards
- Participate in **clinical audits**, research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior anaesthesia staff and contribute to training and education programs
Qualifications
- **MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree**
- **Specialization in Anaesthesiology**
- **Fellowship / Board Certification / CCT in Paediatric Anaesthesia**
- Proven **Consultant-level experience in Paediatric Anaesthesia**
- **DOH License / Eligibility** or equivalent UAE licensing is an advantage
- Experience in **tertiary hospitals** or advanced paediatric surgical centers is highly preferred
