Consultant Physician – Pediatric Surgery (with Urology Experience)

A prestigious **government healthcare client** in the **Abu Dhabi Region** is currently seeking a highly skilled **Consultant Physician – Pediatric Surgery** with strong **Pediatric Urology experience** and **Arabic language proficiency**.

This role is ideal for a senior surgical specialist experienced in managing complex **pediatric surgical and urological conditions**, delivering high-quality care within a multidisciplinary tertiary healthcare environment.

Key Skills

  • Expertise in **Pediatric Surgery** with strong background in **Pediatric Urology**
  • Experience in managing **Congenital Urological Anomalies** (e.g., hypospadias, undescended testes, vesicoureteral reflux)
  • Proficiency in **Pediatric General Surgical Procedures** and emergency surgery
  • Strong knowledge of **Minimally Invasive Pediatric Surgical Techniques**
  • Experience in managing **Neonatal and Infant Surgical Cases**
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
  • **Arabic speaker (mandatory requirement)**

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of **pediatric surgical and urological conditions**
  • Perform **elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures**
  • Manage complex cases involving **congenital abnormalities of the urinary and reproductive systems**
  • Provide specialist consultations for referred pediatric surgical cases
  • Collaborate with **Pediatricians, Pediatric Urologists, Neonatologists, Radiologists, and ICU teams**
  • Ensure safe perioperative care including **pre-operative assessment, surgery, and post-operative follow-up**
  • Participate in **multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives**
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior surgical staff

Qualifications

  • **MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree**
  • **Specialization in Pediatric Surgery**
  • Proven **Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Surgery with Urology exposure**
  • **DOH License / Eligibility** or equivalent UAE licensing is an advantage
  • Experience in **tertiary care or specialized pediatric surgical centers** is preferred
  • **Arabic language proficiency (mandatory requirement)**
