Assist the Chef de Partie with preparatory work, stocking food supplies, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food on time to quality and quantity standards, following recipes accurately.
- Clean assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers, and ensure products are fresh and properly stored.
- Maintain smooth section operations during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Reduce cost through proper storage, portion control, and minimizing spoilage and waste.
- Follow basic food hygiene guidelines and support kitchen health and safety.
- Weigh ingredients and use appropriate quantities in food preparation.
Professional requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of full-time experience, including previous food and beverage industry experience.
- Knowledge of high-quality food preparation and hygiene standards.
Interpersonal requirements
- Works quickly and efficiently, pays attention to detail, and can work under pressure.
- Able to learn on the job, adapt to competing demands, and listen effectively.
- Communicates well and is thorough, methodical, and organized.
Pay and accommodation
- Pay is AED 2,500 per month.
- Accommodation is not provided.
Workplace
- Work is in person.
