Role purpose
Assist the Chef de Partie with preparatory work, food supplies, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food on time to meet quality and quantity standards.
- Follow provided recipes accurately when preparing food.
- Keep assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers, clean.
- Ensure products are fresh, suitable for use, and stored properly.
- Ensure the section runs smoothly during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Reduce spoilage and waste, store food properly, and follow portion controls.
- Follow basic food hygiene guidelines and weigh ingredients accurately.
- Assist chefs in upholding kitchen health and safety standards.
Professional requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of full-time work experience, including previous food and beverage industry experience.
- Knowledge of food preparation to high-quality standards and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- One year of pastry experience is preferred.
Interpersonal requirements
- Work quickly and efficiently, pay attention to detail, and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adaptable, attentive, thorough, methodical, and well organized.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 1,750 per month, plus shared bachelor’s accommodation.
Schedule
- Full-time, six days per week.
