Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial operations and support executive leadership in driving sustainable growth and profitability.
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, taxation, risk management, compliance, and financial reporting while providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, exceptional financial acumen, and a proven track record of managing finance functions within a dynamic, multi-entity organization.
Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial advice and business insights.
- Lead and oversee all finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, and financial reporting functions.
- Establish financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Direct the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Develop financial models to support strategic investments, mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives.
- Present financial reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management and stakeholders.
Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Manage external audits, internal audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, VAT requirements, and applicable financial legislation.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and investment activities.
- Develop strategies to optimize capital structure and financial performance.
Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Strengthen internal control systems and corporate governance practices.
- Ensure business continuity through effective financial risk management.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Collaborate with department heads to support business planning and operational decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with auditors, financial institutions, investors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Requirementseducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree (MBA, Finance, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or CFA is required.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- At least 7 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance).
- Proven experience managing multi-entity or regional finance operations.
- Strong background in financial strategy, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, corporate governance, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, corporate taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and business partnering skills.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commercial acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Technology, Aviation, Transportation, Smart Mobility, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hospitality, or Service Industries.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fundraising, or business expansion projects.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
- GCC or UAE leadership experience is highly preferred.
