The role contributes to guest experience through service support, stocking, cleanliness, and organized bar operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional support to bartenders and servers during service.
- Stock and organize bar supplies, equipment, and inventory; set up bar stations before service.
- Assist guests with beverage, menu, and promotion inquiries and maintain knowledge of offerings and cocktails.
- Follow safe handling, storage, and rotation practices for beverages and supplies.
- Maintain clean, organized guest-facing and back-of-house areas throughout service.
- Monitor inventory and report stock needs or discrepancies.
- Handle cash and payment transactions accurately and securely.
- Collaborate with the bar team and follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barback or hospitality experience is highly valued.
- Demonstrated friendly and professional service and ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume bar environments.
- Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar operations.
- Teamwork, organization, time management, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift and carry items weighing 30+ pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Cash-handling and basic POS proficiency; knowledge of food and beverage health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Professional grooming, proactive problem solving, and willingness to learn and adapt.
