Role Overview
The Customer Insights and Analytics team supports customer analytics and insights within United's Customer Strategy and Innovation department.
The team analyzes survey, customer, and operational data to understand customer perceptions, choices, and behavior and inform business strategy.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
- Solve business problems independently using data mining, analysis, and automation.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to assess business performance and provide actionable insights.
- Support presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders.
- Build dashboards in Power BI.
- Communicate with internal partners in the United States and India to provide analytical support.
- Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity to improve daily work efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a quantitative discipline such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research.
- Highly proficient in SQL and able to write high-performance, scalable, industry-grade code.
- Ability to analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all organizational levels.
- Availability for approximately 1 to 2 weeks of annual travel to the United States.
- Legal authorization to work for any employer in India without sponsorship.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Airline experience or knowledge of airline operations.
- Working knowledge of Python libraries.
- Familiarity with Spotfire, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in projects, internships, or work environments.
- Knowledge of automation platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Zapier, or n8n.
