The Assistant Manager supports profitable store sales growth across customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development.
The role supports store strategy execution and performance goals in collaboration with the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager.
What you’ll do
- Support store sales strategies and results through a customer-centric approach.
- Recruit, hire, and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams; coach team members to deliver a high-performing team and customer experience.
- Own an assigned area and implement action plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Perform Service Leader duties and ensure consistent standard operating procedure and compliance execution.
- Represent the brand, understand competitors and the retail landscape, and promote community involvement.
- Leverage omnichannel capabilities to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
Who you are
- Current or former retail employee with 1–3 years of retail management experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Communicates effectively with customers and team members to meet goals.
- Passionate about retail, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and driven by metrics.
- Able to lead, inspire, coach, and mentor others.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends, as business needs require.
- Able to use retail technology, move around the sales floor, stockroom, and office, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Able to travel as required.
Work setting
- Store role involving work on the sales floor, in the stockroom, and in the office.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling may include holiday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
