The employer seeks an experienced, detail-oriented accountant with knowledge of accounting operations, project accounting, cost control, VAT, and financial reporting.
Accounting and reporting
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, invoicing, payments, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and cash-flow reports; assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are properly documented.
- Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting requirements.
Project accounting and compliance
- Manage project costs, budgets, expenses, profitability, and cost variance analysis; monitor project budgets and actual costs.
- Record supplier, subcontractor, consultant, and client transactions, including invoices, payment certificates, advances, retention, and balances.
- Review project expenses and allocate costs to the respective projects; coordinate financial matters and documentation with stakeholders.
- Assist with UAE VAT compliance, VAT documentation, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE; UAE experience is also listed as preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, financial reporting, UAE VAT, and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, ERP, or similar.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and communicate and coordinate effectively.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.
