GXO is recruiting a Warehouse Operative / Storekeeper for its SGN contract in Portsmouth.
The role ensures engineers have the materials needed to support gas services.
Some travel between sites is required for stock movements and stock takes; a company vehicle is provided.
Schedule and employment
- Full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, covering hours between 08:00 and 16:00.
Pay and benefits
- Annual salary is £28,200.

Typical duties
- Respond to engineer requests and issue materials accurately and on time.
- Pick and prepare orders for collections and operational needs.
- Receive deliveries and check and record stock within the system.
- Manage and segregate waste according to company processes.
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or low stock.
- Support stock takes, including occasional work at other sites.
- Support operations with occasional van driving duties.
What you need
- Previous experience in warehousing, stores, or logistics.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling, warehouse safety, stock control, and basic inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, and good organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate confidently with engineers and depot colleagues.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to other sites using a company vehicle.
