Warehouse Manager

Position overview

Inventory and project readiness

• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records; label, categorize, store, and trace tools, materials, consumables, and safety-critical equipment.
• Conduct stock counts and reconciliations, monitor stock levels, set reorder points, and minimize discrepancies and losses.
• Track project BOQs and ensure required materials and equipment are ready before mobilization; report shortages, gaps, and delivery delays.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Procurement, and site teams to resolve shortages and support project schedules.

Dispatch, equipment, and procurement

• Manage issuance, dispatch, collection, and returns; record items in and out and maintain traceability by project, site, and technician.
• Coordinate delivery and collection schedules; verify returns and investigate missing, damaged, or unreturned equipment.
• Inspect equipment, segregate defective or expired items, record damage, and coordinate servicing, repair, inspection, and replacement.
• Coordinate purchasing and suppliers; verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, BOQs, delivery notes, specifications, and quantities.

Records, safety, and team supervision

• Maintain inventory, allocation, movement, dispatch, return, certification, and compliance records; prepare regular warehouse performance reports.
• Keep the warehouse secure, organized, and safe, with appropriate storage and FIFO or other suitable stock rotation.
• Supervise and train warehouse assistants, storekeepers, and drivers; support urgent mobilizations and coordinate shared equipment across projects.
• Provide stock and readiness updates, escalate operational risks, and recommend warehouse and logistics process improvements.

Candidate requirements

• At least five years of relevant warehouse, inventory, stores, or logistics coordination experience; construction or related industry experience is preferred.
• A relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree is preferred; practical experience may also be considered.
• Experience with inventory, BOQs, project readiness, dispatch and returns, equipment inspections, damage control, procurement coordination, and documentation.
• Familiarity with FIFO, minimum stock levels, reorder points, and inventory optimization; equipment certification and tagging knowledge is an advantage.
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency required; WMS, ERP, or digital inventory tools are advantageous.
• Strong organization, analytical and numerical skills, problem solving, attention to detail, communication, coordination, and staff supervision.
• UAE logistics and construction supply knowledge is preferred; must be willing to coordinate movements across the Emirates.
