Department: Front of House. Reports to the Head Waiter, Section Head, or Restaurant Manager (AGM).
Service delivery and guest engagement
- Welcome guests and provide attentive table service throughout the dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and timing.
- Guide guests through menus, provide recommendations, monitor satisfaction, and respond efficiently to requests.
- Support upselling in line with service standards.
Section support and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables and service areas.
- Coordinate with runners, kitchen, and bar teams and support colleagues to maintain service pace during busy periods.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and service SOPs; maintain professional grooming and brand representation.
- Support opening, closing, and side duties as required.
Candidate requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a waiter or service role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
Success measures
Guest satisfaction and service accuracy.
Speed and efficiency of service.
