Role overview
The barback supports bar operations by ensuring bartenders have the tools, stock, and setup needed for service.

Bar support and preparation
- Restock bar stations with spirits, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
- Prepare bar areas before service and support bartenders during peak periods.
Cleanliness and organisation
- Maintain clean bar stations, storage areas, and the back bar.
- Wash, polish, and restock glassware as required.
- Manage waste and recycling according to standards.
Stock and standards
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating bar stock and with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Report stock shortages or issues to senior bar staff.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and service procedures and support opening and closing duties.
Candidate requirements
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and progress within bar operations.
Success measures
Success is assessed by bar readiness, service support efficiency, cleanliness, stock availability and accuracy, teamwork, and reliability.
