Role overview

V2X is seeking a transportation analyst to support shipment operations, transportation analysis, carrier accounts, freight-payment issues, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan shipments using approved carriers, accounts, modes, and routes; check shipment details and required documents before tender.
  • Monitor shipments through delivery, investigate exceptions, coordinate follow-up, and escalate significant risks.
  • Analyze shipment, service, cost, and exception data; maintain KPI reports and dashboards and share findings with leadership and carriers.
  • Compare carrier quotes, validate carrier account use, and request account changes or deactivation when needed.
  • Research freight invoice exceptions and coordinate supporting information with Freight Payment and Transportation management.
  • Follow shipping procedures, engage Global Trade Compliance for required regulatory review, and retain transportation records.
  • Maintain routing guides, readiness checklists, work instructions, and supporting data; perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, operations, industrial management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, global trade compliance, or warehouse management.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international transportation across parcel, air, ocean, truckload, and less-than-truckload carriers.
  • Experience analyzing transportation costs, carrier performance, shipment exceptions, and operational data.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and computers.

Skills and preferred experience

  • The role calls for independent, results-driven work, sound decision-making, adaptability, prioritization, deadline management, and effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with limited direction is sought.
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or other regulated transportation environments is preferred.

Compensation

  • The stated salary range is USD $80,000–$110,000; the posting says starting pay depends on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
