Community Order Support (COS) Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Provide unarmed community officer support and specialized protection and safety services.
• Conduct static, dismounted foot, and mounted vehicle patrols to maintain order and protect personnel and resources.
• Provide first response, record incidents, and respond to calls for service.

Education and experience

• High school diploma; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
• At least three years of security or law enforcement/military experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Additional qualifications

• Speak, read, write, and understand English; have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass required medical and physical standards, a physical fitness test, drug testing, psychological screening, and pre-deployment requirements, including 52 hours of training.
• Demonstrate computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Meet all contract standards.

Deployment and schedule

• Be willing and able to deploy to Qatar for extended periods.
• Work schedules are typically six days per week and twelve hours per day, with shifts that may include days or nights.

Physical demands

• Carry or wear 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods and be capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
• Maintain physical, medical, and dental requirements for the duration of deployment.
