Role responsibilities

• Analyze cost data and customer requirements for labor, materials, equipment, and other bid elements.
• Develop pricing models, proposal cost formats, and recommendations for pricing methods and procedures.
• Review RFPs and invitations for bid and ensure proposals meet stated cost requirements.
• Ensure proposals comply with the Estimating System Manual, FAR, CAS, applicable laws and regulations, and the Corporate Disclosure Statement.
• Analyze contracts and historical cost trends; obtain indirect rates for pricing.
• Contribute to proposal cost strategy, bid rationales, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare bid financial inputs, including cash-flow and internal-rate-of-return analysis, and bid opportunity cost estimates.
• Support DCAA audits; maintain cost-submission records and collect proposal cost and efficiency statistics.
• Prepare pricing presentations for senior management and help ensure the Estimating System Manual is accurate.
• Provide supervision of Cost/Pricing Analysts when filling in for the Deputy Director of Pricing.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
• At least 6 years of competitive pricing and/or change-management experience; defense contracting experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR, CAS, applicable laws and regulations, and the Corporate Disclosure Statement.
• Strong understanding of defense contractor pricing strategies, methodologies, tools, pricing models, and industry practices.
• Experience with compliance reviews, BOE development, and corporate or business presentations.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and project-management skills; ability to influence stakeholders and adapt to changing circumstances.
• U.S. citizenship.
