The Toolroom Technician manages GSE Maintenance Section tool-control and calibration-control programs and tool-room operations.
The role maintains accountability for tools, test sets, and Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Responsibilities
- Account for tools assigned to the GSE Maintenance Section and issue and receive daily tool-room items.
- Track TMDE maintenance and calibration in line with manufacturer guidelines and required work.
- Ensure TMDE is properly marked and labeled, and turn items in for calibration.
- Order, track, and maintain parts and supplies for the vehicle/GSE section.
- Follow maintenance quality-control processes, procedures, and standards.
- Support the Airfield Foreign Object Debris program; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- At least two years of recent tool-room and/or property-accountability experience required.
- Former TMDE management experience required.
- Prior military experience preferred.
- Knowledge of technical maintenance manuals and demonstrated aviation operations performance required.
- Valid driver’s license and passport required.
- Must pass employment and deployment qualification checks, including medical, drug testing, and background checks.
