Join a Financial Crime team as a Transaction Monitoring & Screening Data Analyst.
Support analysis and validation of transaction monitoring and screening data, ensuring data behind monitoring rules is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose.
Produce clear reporting and insight to support rule reviews and wider control effectiveness.
What you'll do
- Analyze transaction monitoring and screening data to support rule validation and testing.
- Review data quality, identify anomalies, gaps, and inconsistencies, and support root cause analysis.
- Analyze rule-testing outputs, alert volumes, false positives, and unexpected results.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting for monitoring assessments.
- Assist the Data Scientist or Rule Validation Specialist with analysis, testing evidence, and documentation.
- Support data mapping, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; strong Power BI experience.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and strong SQL/data interrogation capability.
- Experience of data quality assessment, validation, and reporting.
- Financial Services experience, ideally within Financial Crime, AML, Transaction Monitoring, or Screening.
- Transaction Monitoring experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate analytical findings clearly.
