Mechanic

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical and automotive engines down to the block.
• Measure, adjust, and replace pistons, rings, crankshafts, camshafts, valves, bearings, and other critical components.
• Diagnose faults, fluid leaks, abnormal noises, and structural wear in engine blocks and cylinder heads.
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, and workshop manuals to verify clearances.
• Test rebuilt engines for compression, timing, and smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean, oil-free workspace and follow safety protocols when handling heavy components.

Requirements and qualifications

• Mandatory proven hands-on experience in complete engine overhauling and mechanical maintenance.
• At least 2 to 3 or more years working as a mechanical or automotive mechanic.
• Expert knowledge of torque sequences, clearance calculations, and standard garage tools.
• Ability to read basic technical specifications, workshop manuals, and engine assembly diagrams.
• Able to handle heavy lifting, stand for long shifts, and perform physical workshop tasks.
• UAE residence and immediate availability are highly preferred.
• Engine maintenance experience of two years is listed as preferred.

Pay and benefits

• Fixed salary stated as AED 2,000 per month; the listed pay range is AED 1,800–2,200 per month.
