About The Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Trading Manager to establish and grow our Consumer Goods Trading Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing trading strategies, identifying profitable product opportunities, securing supplier and distribution partnerships, expanding market presence, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

This is a business-building role focused on creating value for the company through strategic trading activities, market expansion, distribution development, and profitable growth rather than traditional procurement or purchasing functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop the Consumer Goods Trading Division from the ground up.
  • Identify high-potential products, brands, and market opportunities for trading and distribution.
  • Develop relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and international trading partners.
  • Secure exclusive agency agreements, distributorships, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop import, export, wholesale, retail, and distribution strategies.
  • Build and expand sales channels, dealer networks, and customer relationships.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and pricing strategy development.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, trading terms, pricing structures, and supplier contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer demand, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Develop business plans, revenue forecasts, and growth strategies.
  • Lead and develop commercial and trading teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Report business performance, opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Consumer Goods Trading, FMCG Distribution, Import & Export, Wholesale, or Commercial Management.
  • Proven track record of establishing, growing, or managing a successful trading business or product portfolio.
  • Strong experience in agency development, distributorship management, and supplier negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue, secure strategic partnerships, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strong network with manufacturers, distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and trading partners.
  • Experience in international sourcing, import/export regulations, and commercial trading activities.
  • Strong commercial, financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to build and scale businesses.
  • Fluency in English is required.
