About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Trading Officer (CTO) to lead the company's trading, procurement, sales, supply chain, and business development functions.
The CTO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, optimizing commercial operations, and building strategic partnerships across Qatar and the GCC.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the successful candidate will develop and execute trading strategies, identify new business opportunities, strengthen supplier and customer relationships, and ensure sustainable profitability across all business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's trading and commercial strategy.
- Lead all sales, procurement, supply chain, and trading operations.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
- Identify new business opportunities, distributorships, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and key clients.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and supplier contracts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and commercial performance.
- Lead and develop high-performing commercial and trading teams.
- Report business performance and growth initiatives to the CEO and Board.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in trading, commercial management, procurement, or business development.
- Minimum 8 years of senior leadership experience in a trading, distribution, or commercial organization.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large-scale trading operations.
- Strong experience in procurement, supply chain, import/export, and distribution management.
- Excellent commercial, financial, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- GCC market experience is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
