Lead and manage the nursing team in the Operating Theatre Complex to provide patient-centred, evidence-based care, operational efficiency, and positive patient experiences.
The role is based at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management guidance to the team.
- Ensure evidence-based patient care practices follow clinical standards.
- Develop employees and foster engagement to support positive patient experiences.
- Manage clinical and non-clinical resources efficiently to enhance safe patient care.
- Monitor compliance with legislative, regulatory, and clinical standards and support continuous quality improvement.
Education and experience
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Desired: Master of Science in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
- Essential: At least 3–5 years of senior nursing experience; private hospital experience is preferred.
- Desired: 5–10 years of senior nursing experience.
Required skills and knowledge
- Ability to implement all five stages of the Scientific Nursing Process: assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation.
- Presentation skills; UAE Labour Law; computer literacy and MS Office proficiency.
- Cost management, nursing practice, effective meeting management, quality management and governance, and risk management.
- Ability to demonstrate and assess relevant clinical procedures; stock control; UAE healthcare regulations; workforce planning and scheduling.
