About the job Thermodynamics Engineer – Advanced Cooling & AWG Systems

We are seeking an experienced

Thermodynamics Engineer

to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced cooling and dehumidification systems for atmospheric water generation (AWG) technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-efficiency thermodynamic cycles, improving water extraction performance, and driving innovation in cooling solutions.

This role requires strong expertise in HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, psychrometrics, and large-scale dehumidification technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize thermodynamic and refrigeration systems for AWG applications.
  • Develop advanced cooling solutions, including desiccant, absorption, and hybrid cooling technologies.
  • Perform heat transfer, psychrometric, and energy efficiency analyses.
  • Design and integrate large-scale dehumidification systems.
  • Conduct simulations, testing, and performance validation using engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system integration and product development.
  • Support R&D initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and product performance.
  • Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and compliance-related requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or advanced cooling system design.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, psychrometrics, and dehumidification systems.
  • Experience with desiccant cooling, absorption cooling, or hybrid cooling technologies.
  • Proficiency in engineering simulation tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, EES, or similar.
  • Experience with industrial HVAC, environmental control systems, or atmospheric water generation technologies is highly preferred.
  • Success in this role will be measured by the development of highly efficient cooling systems, implementation of innovative technologies, and continuous improvement in system performance, energy efficiency, and scalability.
