Role Description

The Tender / Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

This position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender proposals for high-end construction projects, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include quantity take-offs, pricing materials and labor, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and analyzing project risks and opportunities.

The Tender / Estimation Engineer will collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure bids are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company standards.

The role also involves maintaining estimation databases, supporting value engineering initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement in tender processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and tender preparation for building and architectural projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimation and project planning software (e.g., Excel, estimation tools, CAD or BIM platforms).
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards within the UAE market.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
  • Effective analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing tender documentation and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction discipline.
  • Relevant experience in tendering/estimation roles in the construction sector, preferably on high-end or complex projects in the UAE.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
