Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi.

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, preparing detailed quantity take-offs, and developing accurate cost estimates for high-end construction projects.

This role includes preparing and updating BOQs, coordinating with procurement and project teams, and obtaining and analyzing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

The Estimation Engineer will support tender preparation, value engineering, and budget revisions, ensuring estimates align with project requirements and company standards.

The role also involves market research on materials and pricing trends, assisting with negotiations, and maintaining organized estimation records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation in Civil Engineering, with the ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency in Project Estimation and BOQ preparation, including detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  • Effective Negotiation and communication skills to work with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid Research abilities to track market rates, material alternatives, and construction methods relevant to high-end projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in construction estimation, preferably within high-end or complex building projects in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Familiarity with estimation software and MS Excel; experience with project management tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, and meet tight tender deadlines.
