Technical Engineer supporting design and construction delivery for a major UAE project.
The role manages a building section and helps ensure designs are accurately delivered, structurally sound, and appropriately documented.
Core functions
- Review tender and IFC models, including 2D drawings, BIM models, and asset data, in accordance with ISO 19650.
- Resolve design conflicts through actions such as RFIs, CVIs, and workshops.
- Manage civil and infrastructure deliverables during design and construction against contract objectives.
- Support design-manager submittal planning and documentation; coordinate multi-discipline information and anticipate constraints.
- Prepare and raise RFIs and CVIs, ensuring clear responses.
- Assist with subcontractor work, identify technical deviations, and support subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure modelers and draughtsmen have correct information for shop drawings and timely document submissions.
- Review and follow up on DFC, EI, or DCR; review subcontractor shop drawings for compliance.
- Maintain drawing delivery schedules and document publishing; provide information for site queries and liaise with Planning.
- Support the Temporary Works coordinator and ensure accurate temporary works design and complete as-built/redline processes.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- At least three years of experience in a Senior Technical Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Revizto or Navisworks for design review is sought.
- Good written and spoken English.
Schedule
- Full-time role with a Monday-to-Saturday work week.
