Technical Engineer – Concrete Batching Plant

Role overview

Plant operations and maintenance

• Monitor batching plant operations, production output, and equipment performance.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for mixers, conveyors, silos, pumps, batching systems, and related equipment.
• Check calibration and accuracy of weigh hoppers, water meters, admixture dispensers, and other batching instruments.
• Review production data, breakdown reports, maintenance records, and material usage; recommend improvements.

Quality, coordination, and records

• Help ensure concrete mixes meet approved mix designs, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Work with quality-control staff on material testing, mix adjustments, trial batches, and investigations of nonconforming concrete.
• Coordinate with plant operators, maintenance technicians, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
• Maintain spare-parts records and support procurement of technical materials and services.
• Enforce workplace safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain plant documentation, inspection records, and operating procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in a concrete batching plant, ready-mix operation, construction materials facility, or similar industrial environment.
• Knowledge of batching plant equipment, concrete production processes, and quality-control practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical or process diagrams.
• Familiarity with maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and computerized reporting systems.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental requirements.
• Five or more years of work experience; five years in this specific role is listed as preferred.
• Abu Dhabi commute or relocation is preferred.
