Technical Delivery Director

Role Overview

Delivery Leadership

• Own planning, milestones, resource allocation, risk and issue management, and executive-level reporting.
• Manage and develop track leads and delivery staff across performance, capability, workload, and succession.
• Manage vendor and contractor delivery, including scope, performance, escalations, renewals, and transitions.
• Set engineering and delivery standards for architecture governance, quality gates, releases, and documentation.

Technology and Operations

• Lead stabilization and modernization of existing systems, including legacy platforms with varied technology stacks.
• Oversee coordinated release and change management for production deployments.
• Manage delivery budgets and forecasts and track spend against plan.
• Use delivery metrics such as velocity, quality, incident trends, and SLA adherence to drive decisions.

Stakeholders and Risk

• Maintain client stakeholder relationships and ensure delivery commitments are clearly communicated and met.
• Manage delivery, technical, security, and compliance risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery maturity, automation, and team capability.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in technology, including several years leading multi-track or multi-team delivery.
• Hands-on engineering experience in software development, architecture, or platform engineering across modern and legacy stacks.
• Experience managing employees, contractors, vendors, budgets, and executive reporting.
• Understanding of agile and hybrid delivery methods, cloud platforms, DevOps, ITSM, quality engineering, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Clear, direct communication in English.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in managed-service or outsourced delivery models and digital products or customer-facing platforms.
• Arabic, exposure to data platforms or AI initiatives, and certifications such as PMP, SAFe, ITIL, or a cloud provider certification are advantageous.
