Delivery Leadership and Governance
- Lead multiple concurrent delivery tracks, each with its own lead, and own their combined outcomes, dependencies, and priorities.
- Own delivery governance covering planning, milestones, resource allocation, risk and issue management, and executive reporting.
- Manage and develop track leads and delivery staff across performance, capability, workload, and succession.
- Manage delivery budgets and forecasts and track spend against plan.
Vendors and Engineering Standards
- Own vendor and contractor delivery, including scope, performance, escalations, renewals, and transitions.
- Set and enforce engineering and delivery standards covering architecture governance, quality gates, release management, and documentation.
- Lead stabilization and modernization of existing systems, including legacy platforms with varied technology stacks.
Releases, Metrics, and Risk
- Oversee release and change management across tracks to coordinate low-risk deployments to production.
- Establish delivery metrics covering velocity, quality, incident trends, and SLA adherence.
- Maintain effective relationships with client stakeholders and ensure delivery commitments are communicated and met.
- Identify and manage delivery, technical, security, and compliance risks.
- Ensure delivery practices align with information security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery maturity, automation, and team capability.
Requirements
- Experience leading multiple concurrent delivery tracks with accountability for combined outcomes, dependencies, and priorities.
- Ability to manage and develop track leads and delivery staff, including performance, capability, workload, and succession.
- Experience managing vendor and contractor delivery, including scope, performance, escalations, renewals, and transitions.
- Ability to set and enforce engineering and delivery standards across architecture, quality, releases, and documentation.
- Experience managing delivery budgets, forecasts, risks, and executive-level reporting.
- Knowledge of information security, data protection, and regulatory requirements affecting technology delivery.
