Bridge business needs and engineering delivery on public sector digital programmes.
Turn business problems into clear, evidence-based technical and functional requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Model processes, data flows and system interfaces, including API and integration requirements.
- Refine backlogs and clarify scope with developers, architects and testers.
- Maintain requirements traceability; identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
- Support testing and UAT, help prepare releases for go-live, and communicate clear documentation.
Essential requirements
- Active SC clearance is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile team.
- Experience modelling processes and systems; BPMN, UML or similar methods are relevant.
- Good understanding of APIs, data models and system integration; experience working with development and test teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
- Able to travel to London or Staines once a week.
Desirable experience
- Public sector or central government programme experience.
- Familiarity with the GDS Service Standard.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Salary
