The roles assess application landscapes, system dependencies, interfaces, and technology changes to minimise disruption to business operations and end users.
Technical business analysis
- Analyse application capabilities, architecture, interfaces, integrations, and dependencies across existing and target environments.
- Identify affected applications, databases, infrastructure, interfaces, and third-party services.
- Assess upstream and downstream dependencies, data flows, and integration impacts.
- Document technical constraints, assumptions, risks, relationships, and dependencies.
- Translate technical findings into options, recommendations, and plans for project and business stakeholders.
Application transition
- Support movement of applications from an existing platform to a new platform, with longer-term migration toward the platform used by the German operation.
- Group applications into migration waves and define sequencing, prerequisites, and transition roadmaps.
- Assess transition impacts, service continuity, operational readiness, risks, rollback needs, and contingencies.
Application and database transformation
- Analyse applications and underlying databases affected by planned upgrades and associated application changes.
- Assess dependencies, compatibility, integration issues, upgrade options, and implementation constraints.
- Support transformation roadmaps, implementation plans, sequencing, and dependency-based delivery schedules.
- Assess business and operational impacts and identify disruption-reduction measures and contingency approaches.
Stakeholder and delivery coordination
- Coordinate planning, progress tracking, and dependencies with Project Managers and technical teams.
- Work with service management and support teams on continuity and operational readiness.
- Engage application owners, technical specialists, infrastructure and database teams, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and assumptions.
Candidate requirements
- Strong Business Analysis skills and understanding of enterprise application landscapes, integrations, technical dependencies, and technology change.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, architects, service management, third-party providers, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical information into actionable plans and minimise impacts on business stakeholders and end users.
