Role overview

Business analysis and requirements

• Lead analysis from discovery and requirements elicitation through design, delivery, testing and implementation.
• Elicit, document, validate and manage business, functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Translate policies, standards and regulatory obligations into actionable process, technology and control requirements.
• Maintain traceability and support prioritization, refinement, change control and validation throughout delivery.

Process and AI solution design

• Analyze current processes and identify inefficiencies, pain points, risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Design future workflows showing interactions among AI capabilities, people and existing systems.
• Define process steps, triggers, decision points, business rules, exceptions, escalations and handoffs.
• Define AI use cases and requirements; where agentic AI applies, specify agent activities, permissions, constraints and dependencies.
• Distinguish automation from tasks requiring human review or approval; define intervention, escalation, override and fallback requirements.
• Collaborate with product, technology, data and AI practitioners to assess feasibility, refine designs and support implementation.

Governance and assurance

• Translate AI policies, standards, governance requirements and risk controls into practical requirements, process changes and delivery acceptance criteria.
• Work with risk, compliance, governance and technical stakeholders to identify risks and define proportionate measures.

Role qualifications

• Experienced Business Analyst able to lead analysis within an assigned workstream in a complex programme environment.
• Able to translate business needs and regulatory or policy requirements into clear capabilities, processes and delivery requirements.
• Able to address AI governance, risk, control, assurance, responsible use and human oversight considerations.
