Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for Dynamics 365 and Dataverse solutions; translate business and product needs into scalable designs.
• Define solution ecosystems and integrations across applications, operational platforms, data platforms, and external providers.
• Design solutions for customer engagement, relationship and case management, underwriting, and claims.
• Establish patterns for APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, data synchronization, and cloud-native services.
• Enable effective user access to data, insights, reporting, and functionality through intuitive experiences.
• Work with product and business analysis colleagues to refine priorities, requirements, and architectural implications.
• Collaborate with technical leads and engineers to implement designs; evolve roadmaps and architectural runways for incremental delivery.
• Ensure security, scalability, resilience, performance, and maintainability; manage architectural risks, dependencies, constraints, and technical debt.
• Provide technical leadership and governance, explain decisions to varied stakeholders, and support Agile planning and delivery.

Essential skills and experience

• Deep Dataverse knowledge, including data modelling, security, extensibility, and integration architecture.
• Strong end-to-end solution architecture experience on enterprise transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Azure integration services, enterprise integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, application integration, and data architecture.
• Understanding of security, identity, access management, resilience, and non-functional architecture requirements.
• Significant experience as a Dynamics 365 or Senior Solution Architect delivering complex enterprise solutions.
• Strong Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Dataverse experience within wider enterprise architectures.
• Experience in London Market, specialty or commercial insurance, financial services, or similarly complex regulated industries.
• Experience with integrations, cloud architectures, incremental delivery, product evolution, architecture governance, and Agile delivery teams.
• Understanding of specialist high-value underwriting and claims processes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication; able to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery decisions.
• DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices are advantageous.
