Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data initiatives and transformation programs.
• Track plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, issues, and resources.
• Advise on technology decisions and data-driven design patterns.
• Drive workstreams across data engineering, architecture, analytics, reporting, governance, and business teams.
• Maintain accountability for deliverables and timelines; support production system health and timely incident resolution.
• Identify and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies; communicate delivery status and decisions to executives.
• Participate in governance forums and steering committees; partner with engineering and architecture teams on technical impacts.
• Mentor the delivery team, support Agile practices, and drive adoption of modern data and analytics capabilities.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of Team Lead experience with medium-to-large enterprise technology initiatives.
• Experience managing enterprise data, analytics, BI, reporting, or data transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of data ecosystems, data engineering, and analytics delivery.
• Experience overseeing complex projects across technical and business stakeholder groups.
• Ability to drive execution, influence stakeholders, and maintain team accountability.
• Successful delivery experience in Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, risk management, dependency management, and issue resolution skills.
• Experience working with data engineering, data architecture, BI, analytics, or reporting teams.

Preferred qualifications

• AI-assisted delivery experience and familiarity with GitHub Copilot or agentic frameworks are assets.
• Experience with data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, large-scale data migrations, platform changes, or modernization is advantageous.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Services, Snowflake, AWS, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Experience with AI, GenAI, machine learning, or agentic AI initiatives is preferred.
• Experience in large enterprises, consulting, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or the public sector is preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent certification is an asset.

Work model and locations

• The work model is hybrid.
• Primary location is Toronto, Ontario; other listed locations are Burlington and Kitchener, Ontario.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD 104,000 to CAD 215,000; eligible employees may participate in a bonus program.
• The total rewards package includes benefits, flexible work arrangements, and a hybrid work structure.
