Work with engineers and operational teams to solve network challenges, improve performance and minimise customer disruption.
Support the operation of the clean-water network, including pressure issues and emergency responses.
What you will do
- Investigate water-pressure issues, customer complaints and network alerts, and help find practical solutions.
- Monitor network performance and analyse data to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Manage District Metered Area and District Meter availability and support action plans for performance targets.
- Support network-improvement projects, maintenance activities and planned works.
- Help coordinate incident responses to minimise disruption and protect water quality.
- Support risk assessments for activities affecting the clean-water network.
What you should bring
- Awareness of hydraulic principles and transferable skills relevant to the water industry.
- Clear communication and confidence working with different teams and stakeholders.
- An organised, practical approach to managing priorities and solving problems.
- GIS mapping experience and familiarity with data handling and analysis are welcomed.
Location and working pattern
- Base location is Kemble Court, Reading.
- Hybrid working.
Compensation
- Pay is £34,820–£40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Benefits
- Benefits include 26 days of annual leave, rising to 30 with service, plus bank holidays.
