System admin (Azure & Kubernetes)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Administer Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, load balancers, NSGs, and monitoring services.
• Deploy and support Kubernetes clusters and workloads, including AKS; manage cluster health, upgrades, patching, scaling, and performance.
• Administer Windows and Linux systems, accounts, permissions, identity services, and access controls.
• Monitor availability, capacity, performance, logs, alerts, and security events; perform backups, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity issues, implement security practices, and support certificates, DNS, networking, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Automate administration tasks, coordinate with technical teams, support incident response and root-cause analysis, and maintain operational documentation.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in system administration, cloud infrastructure, DevOps infrastructure, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes; experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Linux and Windows Server administration, networking, Azure monitoring, identity and access management, backup, disaster recovery, patch management, and security experience.
• Hands-on scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, or similar tools; strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
• Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, CI/CD, Helm, monitoring solutions, and Azure or Kubernetes certifications are preferred or advantageous.

Contract and work location

• One-year contractual assignment in Dubai, UAE.
• Work mode is on-site or as required by the project; work location is in person.

Pay

• Advertised pay range is AED 2,205.92–10,000.00 per month.
