Azure Cloud Operations and DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Administer Azure VMs, AKS/OpenShift clusters, storage, networking, load balancers, firewalls, and PaaS services.
• Maintain, patch, and upgrade cloud infrastructure; operate monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Respond to alerts and incidents within agreed SLAs, troubleshoot, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Azure DevOps/GitOps CI/CD pipelines and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code for repeatable multi-environment deployments.
• Optimize workload performance, scalability, resource use, and cost; conduct capacity planning and governance.
• Design high-availability and disaster-recovery configurations aligned with RTO/RPO targets.
• Implement identity, access, network security, encryption, and key-management controls; manage permissions and maintain compliance.
• Develop runbooks, procedures, and documentation; participate in change and configuration management and drive operational improvements.

Required skills and experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS and Azure networking, including VNets, VPN/ExpressRoute, NSGs, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and artifacts; practical Terraform and PowerShell or Bash skills.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and cloud, site reliability, or infrastructure operations.
• Production-environment incident, problem, and change management experience; familiarity with high availability, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, a structured work approach, and ability to communicate and collaborate across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 are a plus.
• AKS, OpenShift, microservices, and security/compliance integration experience are preferred.

Pay

• AED 12,000–14,000 per month.
