Role overview

Security and emergency duties

• Patrol hotel areas and assist guests with room access.
• Conduct emergency drills, safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key-control audits.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and document access to secured areas.
• Respond to accidents, contact emergency services, and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
• Prepare reports, maintain confidentiality, and provide information only to authorized people.
• Defuse disturbances, resolve hazards and complaints, and escort unwelcome persons off the property.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and use appropriate emergency response codes.
• Assist management with employee training, motivation, and coaching.

Other duties

• Follow security policies, report maintenance and safety issues, complete safety training, and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests, communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and support colleagues and shared goals.
• Remain alert for unwelcome persons and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
• Use computers and point-of-sale systems and visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
• Remain able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery spaces; and lift or carry objects as described.

Desirable qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
• At least 2 years of related work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience are desirable.
• The role requires reading and visually checking information, inspecting equipment, and using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• The role requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and help move heavier objects.
