Rooms Controller in Rooms & Guest Services Operations; full-time, non-management position at the St. Regis Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.

Position summary
- Assign rooms according to guest requests; pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets; coordinate group arrivals.
- Track room and check-out change requests, communicate status, confirm reservations and cancellations, and check for duplicate reservations.
- Review out-of-order rooms, verify rates against market codes, and document exceptions.
- Verify and adjust guest billing, secure payment, identify over-commitments, block rooms, and process check-ins and check-outs.
- Activate room keys, file guest paperwork, run daily reports, and relay messages accurately.
- Follow up with guests, provide professional service, answer telephones appropriately, and prepare accurate written documents.
- Follow policies and quality standards, protect confidential information and company assets, and coordinate with other departments.
- Maintain professional appearance, support team goals, assist guests with disabilities, and perform reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
- Work includes extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects up to 10 pounds without assistance; use computers and/or POS systems.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Less than one year of related work experience listed; no supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification listed.
