Role overview

Security and emergency duties

• Patrol hotel areas, secure rooms, assist guests with room access, and escort unwelcome persons off the property.
• Conduct emergency drills, safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key-control audits.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; document access to secured areas.
• Respond to accidents and emergencies, contact emergency services, and provide first aid or CPR when needed.
• Gather information, prepare reports, preserve confidentiality, and share information only with authorized people.
• Defuse disturbances, resolve hazards and complaints, and use appropriate emergency codes to call for assistance.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and provide paperwork to employees.
• Assist management with employee training, motivation, and coaching.

Other duties

• Follow company security policies, report maintenance and safety issues, complete safety training, and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests, communicate professionally, respond to concerns, remain alert to unwelcome persons, and support colleagues and team goals.
• Maintain a professional appearance and meet quality standards.
• Use computers and point-of-sale systems and inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
• Remain able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery spaces; and lift or carry objects as described.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience are preferred.
• The role requires reading and visually checking information, inspecting equipment, and using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• The role requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and help move heavier objects.
