Supervise and coordinate kitchen cooks and staff at The St. Regis Residence in Doha.
Full-time, non-management position; not remote.
Kitchen operations
- Oversee food presentation, portions, arrangements, garnishes, and decorative displays.
- Monitor preparation quantities and advise food-and-beverage staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
- Prepare special meals or substitutes, assist cooks, and provide needed kitchen items.
- Monitor food and kitchen supply stocks; maintain food safety and product logs.
- Check food quality and inform a manager when a product falls short of specifications.
Team, service, and safety
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company safety and security policies, complete safety training, and report hazards, accidents, injuries, and maintenance needs.
- Respond to guest service needs, communicate clearly and professionally, and work constructively with colleagues.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information, and meet quality standards.
- Role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or moving; bending, reaching, and moving loads up to 12 kg without assistance.
Recommended qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma recommended.
- 4–6 years of related work experience recommended.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience recommended.
- No license or certification specified.
