Full-time, non-management Kitchen Supervisor role in the Food and Beverage & Culinary category at The St. Regis Residence in Doha, Qatar.
The role is not remote and involves coordinating kitchen staff and food preparation.
Kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and other kitchen workers; assist them with tasks and provide needed items.
- Determine food presentation and create decorative displays; ensure correct portions, arrangements, and garnishes.
- Monitor preparation quantities and tell food and beverage staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items.
- Monitor kitchen and food stock, maintain food safety and product logs, and notify the manager about products that do not meet specifications.
Team, service, and standards
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company and safety procedures, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; address guest service needs.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and meet quality standards.
Preferred qualifications
- Preferred related work experience: 4 to 6 years.
- Preferred supervisory experience: at least 2 years.
- Preferred education: technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
- No license or certification is specified.
Physical requirements
The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
