Full-time, non-management Kitchen Supervisor role in Food and Beverage & Culinary at The St. Regis Residence in Doha, Qatar.
The role is not remote and involves coordinating cooks and kitchen workers.
Kitchen and food operations
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and workers; determine food presentation and create decorative displays.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes; monitor prepared quantities and communicate specials or unavailable items to service staff.
- Prepare special meals or substitutions, assist kitchen staff, provide needed items, and monitor kitchen and food stock.
- Maintain food-safety and food-product logs; check food quality and notify the manager when products fail specifications.
Team and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; complete safety training and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; address guest needs.
- Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, support team goals, respond to employee concerns, and meet quality standards.
- The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and handling objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
