Food preparation
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods; cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures; thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishing; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate busy-period assistance needs, excess food for daily specials, menu specials, and out-of-stock items to relevant teams.
Teamwork and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, company assets, quality standards, and positive working relationships.
- Anticipate guest service needs; perform physical duties including moving items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
