The Kitchen Supervisor oversees and coordinates cooks and kitchen workers at The St. Regis Residence in Doha.
This is a full-time, non-management position in Food and Beverage & Culinary.
Kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers; determine food presentation and create decorative displays.
- Ensure correct portions, arrangement, and garnish; monitor food quantity and food quality, and report products that do not meet specifications.
- Communicate menu specials and unavailable items to food and beverage service staff.
- Prepare special meals or substitutions, assist kitchen staff, and provide cooks with needed items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock; maintain food-safety program and food-product logs.
Staff and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe incidents or conditions, and complete safety training.
- Address guest service needs, communicate professionally, support team goals, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information and company assets.
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
