Banquet operations and team duties
- Coordinate staff and inspect and correct grooming or attire deficiencies.
- Communicate with guests and departments to meet needs and handle special banquet arrangements.
- Set up banquet rooms, furniture, equipment, and tables to meet cleanliness, group, and company standards.
- Document pertinent information and resolve setup or service problems.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support shared team goals.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, communicate professionally, and answer calls appropriately.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Physical and workplace expectations
- Follow safety, security, and quality procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries and complete safety training.
- Move objects under 50 lb (22.5 kg) without assistance and assist with objects over 75 lb (33.75 kg).
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; maneuver on stairs, ramps, and uneven or slippery surfaces; reach, bend, and handle objects requiring coordination.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect company information and assets, and perform other reasonable duties as requested.
