The Bellstand Captain welcomes guests and provides information about hotel facilities, services, opening hours, local attractions, and activities.

Guest and bellstand service
- Open doors and assist guests entering or leaving the hotel and vehicles.
- Help guests deposit, retrieve, and transport luggage to and from rooms or the bellstand.
- Provide directions and arrange taxis, shuttles, or other transportation, including advance bookings when needed.
- Assign valets according to needs and inform guests about parking procedures.
- Follow up on guest requests and concerns to support satisfaction.
Team and service standards
- Model service standards and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, motivating, and supporting employees.
- Build positive working relationships and support colleagues and shared team goals.
- Follow hotel safety, security, and quality procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
- Protect confidential information and company property, maintain professional appearance, and remain alert to unauthorized persons.
- Welcome and recognize guests, listen and respond to concerns, and communicate clearly and courteously.
- Complete other duties assigned by managers that are consistent with the position.
Recommended qualifications
- Recommended education: secondary-school diploma or equivalent.
- Recommended related work experience: at least one year.
- Recommended supervisory experience: less than one year.
- No licence or certification is listed as required.
Physical demands
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb (22.7 kg) without assistance and assist with objects over 75 lb (34 kg).
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or a full shift; move quickly when work requires it.
- Handle objects requiring fine motor skills and reach, bend, twist, crouch, and navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven or slippery surfaces.
