Job Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintains district inventory for plant supplies, including ordering, receiving, and allocating.
• Prepares and types annual requisitions, orders, reports, and correspondence.
• Receives and inspects incoming materials, reconciles with purchase orders, and processes and distributes documentation.
• Reports, documents, and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
• Posts daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
• Reports canceled and damaged items to the purchase department.
• Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Identifies, segregates, and preserves stored materials.
• Maintains the warehouse, records area, and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Segregates waste for proper disposal.
• Informs relevant personnel about material arrivals and arranges for inspection.
• Issues material as per requirements and maintains records.

Job Specifications

• Desired: Diploma in a related field.
• Minimum experience: 3 years in the same functions.
• Preferable: 6 years of experience.

Required Skills

• Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles.
• Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals stored in the warehouse.
• Knowledge of identification, handling, storing, and disposal of wastes and expired chemicals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to pass a typing test at 35 words per minute.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Hazard risk assessment.
• Aspect impact assessment.

Desired Certification / Training

• ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness or working knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
